UW-Madison Out of the Darkness Walk (Madison)

Sunday, April 14, 2019
12:00 PM
2:30 PM
Sellery Residence Hall, 821 W. Johnson St, Madison WI 53706

As many of us know, suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students. And, about one in four college students struggle with a diagnosable, yet often undiagnosed, mental illness.

By joining us on Sunday, April 14th in Sellery Backyard, you can help #FighttheStigma of mental illness and be a voice for mental health awareness in our community. Our #OutoftheDarkness walk serves as a bridge to connect our campus and community efforts and to strengthen the relationship between the two.

Together we can raise funds for suicide prevention and ensure that we be the difference in this effort. All donations received will contribute to national and local research efforts including widespread education programs, further progress in legislative outreach, and the funding of studies that work towards preventing suicide.

Our Walk has been one of the most successful (if not THE most successful) in the nation for the last 6 years! Help us keep our Walk and fundraising efforts among the best! We hope to see you all there!
